Constance is a mixed media artist using traditional needlepoint embroidery techniques along with weaving, macrame and punch needle for her textile works; and acrylic paints and inks for her paintings. 

As a knitwear designer in her 20’s she was fascinated by historical stitch techniques used to give texture and individuality to vintage knitted pieces. Always self-taught, she became passionate about visible mending, teaching fashion students how to preserve items with embroidery and darning to breath new life into pieces which would otherwise be discarded.

She loves the colours and textures found in nature; the delicate shades found on a single petal to the appearance of rainbows in a stormy sky and the light that bounces from the sea near her home in Phuket, Thailand. Her work is bright, colourful and uplifting.
